Pride Hockey is pleased to announce that our Total Skills Program and Speed Camp

will be coming to the Haverhill Valley Forum July 23-26, 2012. Jeremy Tabb, Owner of

Pride Hockey Inc. and Asst. Coach of the Valley Jr. Warriors Eastern Junior hockey

team, had this to say, “We are very excited to bring our program to this great facility!

We look forward to expanding beyond our current locations and the opportunity to bring

our expertise and knowledge to an area saturated with aspiring young hockey players!”

The goal at our Day Camps is GROWTH, on and off the ice. With this in mind we have

designed a program that seeks to maximize every minute spent with our staff. Players

will be challenged each day to perform beyond their comfort zone and into that place

where personal development and “real” progress take place.

Each day will consist of the following: 3 hours on-ice instruction daily and 2 hours of

off-ice conditioning and shooting. The on-ice portion of the day will have

skaters grouped by skill level. Drills and instruction will be very

specific based on the camp chosen and to the skill level of the player. Our top-flight

instructors will emphasize technique and speed, working towards the ultimate

goal…GROWTH. We are here to teach the players how to get the most from the talents

they have. We will work aggressively on confidence building; extending these positive

results into consistent on-ice improvement.

Off-ice will be no different. The emphasis here will be to reinforce

and build. Off-ice will seek to build a strong physical foundation by

focusing on 3 core attributes essential to on-ice success; speed, agility and core

strength. In addition to our off-ice conditioning there will be an off-ice shooting range

that will emphasize technique and reinforce the correct form through repetition.

The days at Pride will be full and they will be challenging yet extremely rewarding. Each

of our camps has a very specific emphasis, all are challenging

and all are centered on the growth and development of the players. We encourage you

to visit the website or call to learn more about Pride Hockey and which camp is right for

you!

AUGUST 6 - 10, 2012 at Olympia Ice Center

THIS IS THE BEST OF BOTH.

This camp blends all the best aspects of our curriculum into one total program. Each player will be challenged from the outset of each and every day. Players will be grouped according to their skill level to take full advantage of and maximize their individual growth and potential.
This camp is a full 3 hrs of on-ice and 2 hrs of off-ice per day (1.5 hrs on-ice and 1 hr off-ice for HALF-DAY option). There will be little downtime for the player enrolled in this camp. Our on ice program will emphasize the execution of all drills to perfection with the focus devoted to each player and proper technique. The off-ice will challenge and promote stamina and core strength. It will also integrate each player into a structured series of uniquely developed drills that blend off-ice shooting, resistance training, plyometrics and core fitness.
If you are looking to work on your total game in a challenging, competitive and highly motivating environment, then this is the camp for you!

This program is designed for the player looking to make a serious effort to improving their skating and skills techniques! A strong commitment and focus to get better is absolutely necessary when attending any of our programs. Players will be separated by ability to ensure maximum development. On-ice curriculum will consist of:

EDGEWORK-important for proper skating technique and balance through turns

QUICKNESS-stresses quick feet and proper weight shift for changing speeds

TAKE-OFFS-proper technique for maximum power

ELONGATING STRIDE TECHNIQUE-enabling proper balance and a longer skating stride to allow for the changing of speed on the fly

PUCKHANDLING-emphasis on getting hands away from body and allowing for puck control 180 degrees around the body

PASSING-emphasis on utilizing weight shift, core strength and proper stick control

SHOOTING-proper technique will be addressed both on and off the ice

PUCK PROTECTION-utilizing one’s body to protect the puck from a defender

GAMES IN A CONFINED AREA-emphasis on puck control and movement in a tight area.

FLOW/PASSING-movement and area passing

CONDITIONING-emphasis on work to rest ratio and recuperation

CONFRONTATIONAL DRILLS-emphasis on puck protection, 1 on 1 technique and proper body checking and angling

AGILITY-emphasis on quickness and lateral movement
EXPLOSIVENESS-emphasis on first 3 strides
